Production Control Associate

We are looking for a Production Control Associate to be engaged with our Manufacturing team to drive real-time support and solutions, monitor jobs through our Fab shops, and enhance communication between our Production teams and Value Streams

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for status updates of production jobs for designated work centers.
  • Investigates material as needed for production including root cause analysis on shortages or job variances.
  • Will complete work order variance analysis and corrections, accurately report work order scrap and lost parts, help control inventory levels in WIP, and data entry of jobs and operation completion.
  • Transact job activity into the computerized inventory system (Syteline experience preferred).
  • Communicate and help coordinate fixes for inaccurate routings or BOMs with Engineering and production personnel
  • Ability to work overtime and long hours as needed to support production shipments

  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, value stream leaders and quality to determine key supply chain KPIs
  • Develop supplier base by actively sourcing, identifying and evaluating new supplier sources and conduct negotiations to obtain the maximum benefit for the company
  • Work with existing and new suppliers to lower materials cost through value engineering, reverse engineering, new design, alternative substitution, or relaxing of tolerance or standardizing of materials.
