Embedded Systems/Electrical Engineer

Advanced Input Systems, AIS, located in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, is a leading designer and manufacturer of custom Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for major OEM’s worldwide. We have immediate openings for engineers that will be responsible for developing a broad range of embedded systems, hardware and software products in support of market and customer needs.

Successful candidates for these openings must have the following qualifications:


  • BS in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or Computer Science
  • Full lifecycle Product Development experience from inception through maturity is extremely important
  • Ability to design for a broad range of HMI related technologies including touch interfaces, displays and video, and communication protocols
  • Ability to solve a wide range of technical problems & contribute creative ideas to improve development processes
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and extremely collaborative
  • Comfortable with fast pace, constant change, and handling multiple projects
  • 3-5 years minimum experience.

Supply Chain Engineer

Our company is a growing collection of entrepreneurial manufacturing, sales, and engineering professionals dedicated to pushing state-of-the-art human machine experience solutions. We are looking for a Supply Chain engineer to be engaged with all aspects of the product development process.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement overall supply chain strategy for products
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, value stream leaders and quality to determine key supply chain KPIs
  • Develop supplier base by actively sourcing, identifying and evaluating new supplier sources and conduct negotiations to obtain the maximum benefit for the company
  • Work with existing and new suppliers to lower materials cost through value engineering, reverse engineering, new design, alternative substitution, or relaxing of tolerance or standardizing of materials.
  • Manage supplier service agreements and supplier quality management to continuously improve quality standards
  • Develop systems and procedures for:
  • Selecting and monitoring suppliers and ensuring their ability to meet engineering and quality standards
  • Verifying parts and materials received meet requirements in a cost-effective manner
  • Establishing and maintaining strong supplier relationships
